Wyld Wood Conservation

Our Story
Our small mixed woodland in Somerset is carefully managed to sustain and increase the biodiversity of indigenous species whilst conserving its natural beauty and encouraging native plants and animals into our habitat.
We are fortunate to have varied habitats to enable the monitoring and encouragement of a wide range of endangered flora and fauna.
By re-introducing coppicing on a small scale, we not only help the hazel dormouse, butterflies and birds, but can offer sustainable wood products for your enjoyment.
Our osier willow enclosure provides four varieties of basket making willow and is harvested in November.
We are dedicated to preserving and creating a haven for wildlife and we hope to inspire everyone to spend more time in the wild.
